Hi i’m a newbie when it comes to modding 360s but want to RGH mine and dual NAND it if possible so i can still access live. I’m wondering what the cheapest route for this would be. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated thx.

Before you start it and invest money, have you done soldering before?
Also have you had any hardware modding experience before?

Doing RGH/JTAG, is actually hard for low or no soldering experience people.
You are very likely to kill the console.

Dual nand is much harder.

If you have no hardware modding experience before, save yourself from trouble, send the console to someone else who is capable doing it professionally for you.

And to answer your question, if you just need to mod one or two console, the cheapest way and safe way is sending it to the professional modders. Because most of the tools you only need to use it once or twice.

I say this should be put on sticky post at this forum section.
The tutorials make it looks very easy to do RGH/JTAG, its actually much easier and cheaper to send to someone else to do it.

i am not the best solderer in the world but i have had experience with replacing components on pc motherboards/soldering wires together and such. but i have not had hardware modding experience yet but i figure before i actually mod the console i would practice on some old broken motherboards to be better prepared.

Then you are good to go.
But still, dual nand is much complicated.

What I would suggest is to get an acev3 and rgh the console first . Then if/once successful move on to a dual nand install.
Besides good soldering equipment and flux, solder etc. You will need something to read /write the nand like a jrprogrammer v2 .

the cheapest route to add dual nand in my opinion would be to go with a squirt dual nand add-on (basically a 16mb nand on a chip with solder pads) or something like a viper dna .
Here's some guides I made for each of those a while back ;
Squirt https://www.se7ensins.com/forums/th...nstall-guide-for-trinty-motherboards.1673398/

Viper

Edit: here's an excellant guide for rgh
