Hi, I was wondering if I could get some input on a question about this. I've copied my save data and I'm looking at it in Hex Workshop because I'd like to mod my own game since I've gotten a lot of time in it. I just want to put in the things I've farmed for and haven't gotten. I must admit, everything looks a bit daunting, but reading through this topic has helped I think, so I'd like to post what I think is right and hopefully someone can tell me if it's correct.

I'm looking at two lines right now for this example.

D674 53 23 00 00 93 93 93 93 93
D67D 93 00 93 93 33 93 33 93 33

I used the Ctrl+G to find the item I was looking for Master Ring (D675) because I know I only have two of them. There was no line for that, but there was for the item before that which is (D674). My guess is that the line starts there at the item Gold Ring and each 2 digit number after that is another item. So on the first line it says I have 5 Gold Ring (hex value of 53 is 5 correct?) and that means the 23 is the Master Ring which I know I have 2 of and the hex value is 23. So the next one is 00 for zero Miser Ring, then 00 for zero Thief Ring, then 9 Astral Ring...and so on. Then when it gets to the end of line 1 it carries down to the next one, line 2. Which first says I have 9 Astral Ring (which I do) and then zero Charm Necklace and so on.

Also I'm looking for help on spells and sub-weapons because they seem a bit more complicated. So I'm going to look at Shanoa's Fulgur spell which I have leveled all the way already for an example. The xp for the spell should be located in these two lines.

FA1A 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 4A
FA23 15 00 00 9A 56 00 01 86 9F

Now I read in this thread that 01 86 9F is the true setting for a maxed spell and I'm guessing that's right since I maxed her Fulgur legitimately. However, I'm not sure what the rest of the things that are on these two lines are for. Could someone help explain this to me? I don't want to jump in before I know what's going to happen when I start playing around.

I'm just looking for a bit of clarification to make sure whether I'm right or wrong so I might start changing some things. I apologize if this is an inconvenience at all, it just seems like the best place to ask these questions. Thanks for taking a look and please help if you can.

I can't speak for hex workshop because I use HxD, but if you look somewhere on the bottom maybe it should tell you what address you are on. You have it right though. FA1A would be the first address on that line, then the next one would be FA1B, FA1C, etc and then on to the next line.

Shanoa's XP address are here:

FA21 - FA23
FA25 - FA27
FA29 - FA2B
FA2D - FA2F

FA35 - FA37
FA39 - FA3B

So the first line of her Spell XP would be FA21, which from what it looks like you posted, would be the two bytes to the left of 4A. So right now the bytes for that spell (not sure which one it is, i didn't pinpoint the exact spells xp adresses) are set to 00 4A 15 (FA21 - FA23). If you wanted to max it, you would change it to 01 86 9F (FA21 = 01; FA22 = 86; FA23 = 9F). Hope this helps.

Also, the XP values for all characters are separated by two byes of 0. So it looks like this XX XX XX 00 XX XX XX 00 XX XX XX, etc. So your next spell starts at the left of the 9A (00 9A 56) and then the 00 bytes, and then your already maxed spell that is there.

Thanks so much for the reply. Now I'm feeling a bit more confident that I can mod my own save instead of using someone else's. It seems that the equipment is easy since it's only two bytes long (ex. 00, 13, 23...etc) where the abilities that level are triple that (ex. 00 9A 56, 01 86 9F). I wasn't aware that the abilites had a spacer between them either, thanks for letting me know. The 00 between spells would have thrown me for sure.

From that I can help a little bit at least: FA29, FA2A, FA2B are for Shanoa's spell Fulger because that is the only spell of hers I currently have maxed out and the value for a maxed spell is 01 86 9F.

This is sort of an odd request but hopefully someone could help me, it is to determine if luck helps with rare drops.

I know that the update made it impossible for us to edit stuff like Miser Ring in places it does not belong, like say Helm.
But if the update is deleted you can play just as before, meaning we could edit the save to make a character like Alucard hold as many Thief Rings as possible.

I would do it myself but I do not have access to my xbox for a couple of days :frown:

Hopefully someone would like to try this as well

How do I equip.. let's say Fuma's Helm to Jonathan. I've openend the save file with HxD and im at 0x0000D0AA to 0x0000D0AB and I've inserted D7 05 there. Ingame however I see no helmet (I have the DLC installed and file corretly rehashed and resigned). Help please!

that is not how these particular addresses work. You must go to the address D705 and then change the value from 00 to 13 (for 1) or 23 (for 2), etc. What you are trying to do is to add an item to a particular equipment slot, which works differently (and does not save either, as soon as you remove the equipped item, it disappears from your inventory). These hex addresses that i have provided changes the number of the item you have in your inventory.

HxD is a free Hex editor, they are'nt used for rehash resigning tho.
Get HxD
HERE

Use Modio for Rehash Resign.
