I noticed my friend had it with all the cool emojis and I looked for a software update and nothing was there for a new update... He's not a very tech savvy person so I doubt he did any beta thing..

It's in beta form from what im aware, it's not released yet.

Edit, when I got so software update it says "iOS 9.01 Your software is up to date."

Oh, I didn't realize you said 9.1.... yeah, that's still in beta.
