Wait can you do it with out a jtag?
With a jtag. Without a jtag you can only get 16gigs from it. Technically you could use it on a regular xbox, but you would have to make 30 16gb partitions, then format each one with your xbox(would be like having 30 usb drives. Bad Idea)

K thanks

Wait does it have to be USB 2.0 or 3.0

It can be either (heck it could even be USB 1.1, though that would be dumb). The USB ports on the Xbox 360 are USB 2.0, but USB 3.0 drives are backwards compatible with USB 2.0 ports. However you won't get the increased speeds of USB 3.0 on the Xbox 360 since the ports are 2.0

Unless you are planning to use it on a computer with USB 3.0 in the future, it would be more expensive to buy a 3.0 drive and will not get you any benefit, so go with a 2.0 one.
