Discussion Can you still game share on ps4?

Trying to play a friends game downloaded on his account called jack box but currently has a pad lock on the app when logged into my account.

Aware of game sharing and seen videos that you just have to make your friends account as the primary on my console to access his games but when trying to activate it as the primary I get an error message but on YouTube videos it seems to be simple and can have multiple primary accounts set for that friend so everyone can play his games but only two at one time can play a specific game.

Yes, you can still game-share. I game-share with my nephew and it's working fine.
You're doing something wrong and/or you've set primary too many times and thus it won't allow you to.

You can still game share on PS4 just make sure that you renew/restore licenses when you sign into the account in question. Sometimes that is the fix because the little lock symbol will pop up when they take the license back or if the licenses need to be renewed.
