Unsolved Can I downgrade from 7.1 to 7.0.4?

I tried downgrading iOS 7.1 to 7.0.4 on my iPad Air and it came up with an error on ITunes. Am I dong something wrong? Or is this impossible?

Try pointing iTunes to Cydia's server and restore it.

Windows:

1. Browse to “C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc”.
2. Copy the file "hosts" to your desktop.
3. Open it in notepad and add this to the end of it "74.208.151.171 gs.apple.com". Without quotes.
4. Save and copy it back to “C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc”.

Mac:

1. Open Terminal (Click Spotlight, or press Command+Space. Now type terminal.)
2. Copy and paste the following code into Terminal
3. sudo /Applications/TextEdit.app/Contents/MacOS/TextEdit /etc/hosts
4. Press Enter.
5. Add 74.208.151.171 gs.apple.com.
6. Save by pressing Command+S, click Save.

1. Press Shift+Restore (for Windows) or Option+Restore (for Mac).
2. Find the ipsw file for 7.0.4 and select it.

I did exactly that and I got an error.

It's not working for me either and I have a iPhone 5c

As of 7.1 you can not downgrade because there is no tools updated for 7.1 so your out of luck that method is old and does not work because apple don't use shsh anymore !
