Looks like the beta just recently came out. Anyone test it out? What are your thoughts?

I have made it to the max rank (31 for the beta but full game it is 55) and I am loving it so far. It reminds me of BO1 in a sense with the characters and also the gameplay in general. But the guns are definitely unique because the Spas 12 shreds through people... Overall I would recommend it though.

After playing the alpha and now the beta for both weekends I can say I'm enjoying it but it's not perfect. Hit detection needs work as usual and nothing really feels that consistent. Once they fix the hit detection I'm sure it will feel better. All the guns felt powerful besides all the inconsistencies of course. There's a few guns like the M16 that absolutely shred compared to the other guns. Seems like it just needs some fine tuning and some balancing at this point. Maybe get rid of noob friendly score streaks and the perks Paranoia and Tracker and we'll be alright in my opinion. Stims can go in the trash too. It has a BO1/BO2 feel for sure but also with a new gen CoD feel at the same time. I like it but it needs work and it's just another CoD at this point. I'm looking forward to the full release, especially Zombies.

This makes no sense...how...after all these years and all the improvements in technologies have they still not gotten hit detection perfected yet? Same with connections in the game...I will bet that their servers will be slow af causing everyone to lag for the first 1-2 months. I've yet to see a COD release not do that lol

So for one company to have amazing hid detection may mean that another is somewhat behind them and they don't want to give away trade secrets obviously. Take a look at MW2 with how broken yet beautiful it was.

Ex: Sledgehammer, Activision, Treyarch and probably small subsidiaries behind the scenes also. So for one company to have amazing hid detection may mean that another is somewhat behind them and they don't want to give away trade secrets obviously. Take a look at MW2 with how broken yet beautiful it was.
All of them have had the chance to release their CODs though (Sledgehammer is the newest to join the group so maybe they deserve slight leeway) so they all should know what to expect by now. Hell, at this point, they now have an extra year to develop their games as compared to the past. These games should be released nearly bug free and the multiplayer should be near flawless after all these years.

That and being on a new engine maybe. For example there was some clips where people were shooting right at someones head standing still and getting no hit markers. If I could find it again I'd link it.

Also SledgeHammer isn't making them anymore to my knowledge so they're back to a 2 year cycle.

I've been shot at, dropped behind an impenetrable wall with half health, died, watched killcam and the guy is still shooting where I was standing 30 seconds ago, just shooting the air and getting headshots.

That's happened about 37 times over the beta. That and snipers are so..... idk, headshot hitmarkers, chest level hitmarkers on already weak enemies and by god the bullets go through people.

That and you can back mantle through any wall on any map.

All in all though?
I was havin fun when I wasnt screaming lol

I can understand the bugs, I dont expect perfection or even close to it. I've seen our community and the YouTube community find crazy complicated ways to glitch and exploit the game.

(I mean the back mantle through any wall because "culling walls is hard" is unacceptable though)

It's the spawns that get to me the most, it's been well over a decade, why the hell is little timmy spawning in my *** with an AR every 3 seconds?

Yeah I’ve also had that happen. I think a lot of it has to do with connection as well. The game is inconsistent with everything, not just the snipers. They could use a slight buff as I’ve had that happen the whole beta as well. I wouldn’t mind them staying how they’re though, probably because I’m use to it from Modern Warfare. If anything they need to buff the bullet penetration so I can actually hit collaterals. It didn't stop me from hitting some nasty clips though. I just can’t believe people actually think they’re OP.

I’m sure they’ll work it out over time. Fix things like the back mantle. Hopefully it’ll be ready by launch.

I got robbed of almost all of them but a few, even hit markered a quad ? That just shows how inconsistent they’re.

Another thing I forgot to mention is the aim assist felt like it wasn’t always there.

Yea even Jev said the aim assist felt like it wasnt always working, I noticed it too.
Hopefully they listen with popular creators also voicing that opinion.
