This is great news and I'm surprised it's taken Microsoft this long to understand how many people want this. Being able to make our own control schemes is such is an amazing and long over due feature.

Yeah my apologies. It was late and I was tired. A new update hit last night and added a bunch of new features.This! I thought I was doing something wrong.
No the app does nothing you weren't doing anything wrong.
EDIT - There's a new dashboard version out that enables button configuration on all controllers.
