Since TTK has been released Bungie patched engram drops. I played the story of TTK and noticed a lot of engram drops but the infinite thrall glitch doesn't seem to drop any engrams. Before TTK, overnight I would have obtained a full inventory of weapons, armor, and engrams. The post master after returning will have a full set of rare engrams as well. So after TTK was released I gave this another go and overnight I only got one weapon engram from 9,000+ kills. Yes, one engram from 9,000 thrall kills. I just thought maybe it was because I could only do it on level 3 difficulty (only other choice was 240 light level). So I grind and grind to have enough light to farm on 240 light difficulty. I level up my Brave Shell (generates glimmer for hive kills and spinmetal from engrams on Earth) thinking I would hit the glimmer cap overnight (25k glimmer) and I return to my PS4 and I only have one weapon and an armor engram in my inventory.. And I only got like 100 glimmer from 6,000 kills. The 2.0 patch made the Frontier Shell generate glimmer for hive kills and you could hit the glimmer cap overnight before TTK came out. I don't think Bungie was on to this because the thrall glitch still works (don't get me wrong, still works wonderfully for bounties) but the only use for it now is to pretty much level up armor/subclass in your sleep and earn motes.
Also.. You stop earning glimmer after it stacks up to like +75 on the top right corner. But after you wait for it to disappear, it starts again.
The Brave Shell does have a perk that can give you spinmetal from engrams dropped on Earth and overnight I obtained about 260.. I'm running my farming device (CronusMAX) tonight and will update this later today after I'm done with some errands.
