Hi guys! c:
I was planning on making building my own gaming pc for optimal performance with online games and no fps lag.

The main games I was looking to play are:
ArmA 2 with DayZ
The Bioshock series
Grand Theft Auto 4 (maybe 5 when it's released)
League of Legends
World of Warcraft

I was planning on buying a "Geforce GTX 660 Ti" as my video/graphics card.

Is there any possible chance that you guys could help me find parts that are compatible, but are afforable? None of that $1999.99 gibberish. :b

Thank you all! :]

What would be your limit and what would be your ideal price?

Thank you dear c:

thank you also hun c:

DO NOT GET THE HASWELL CPUs!

Whilst the 4th gen CPUs do use less power and are faster per clock, they are grossly over-priced and you won't see any performance increase (especially if you OC).

Instead, get a Sandy Bridge CPU; the i5-2500k can be had for $179.99 (and a decent z68/z77 can be bought for $100~) and put any left over money towards the GPU. Like getting an HD 7970

Habofro Habofro 's build is excellent, however swap out the RAM with the one I posted (as it is faster and cheaper).

Other than that, good luck building the computer and if you require any assistance, you know where to find us!

Alright then forget about this build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/12C3F
Get something like this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/12EmT , you should also get an SSD but you might want to wait a little bit before getting one so the price goes down even more.

Or we can save him some money and he can get this one http://pcpartpicker.com/p/12EUg why this one you ask? Because the i5 4570k isn't really a great improvement over an i5-3570k. The main improvement was the integrated GPU which he won't be using anyways, clock for clock the difference will be almost null.

True, just swap the RAM and it should be a solid build.

Imo i'd still get the newest CPU than the older one, but i'm not everyone.

Corsair's ram is really good ram. The end.
I was searching online, and I would a system called "Gamer Mage D295".
Would you recommend it? Or to still build my own?

Here is the link: :]

Nope. Stay away from company built PCs.

Building one would be cheaper plus you gain valuable life skills. Like building things and stuff with a bunch of doodads.

Like I said, if you need help, please just ask. The community will be happy to help.

If one can acquire faster RAM that is cheaper, mind you in a build where cash is tight, then wouldn't the G.Skill be more attractive?

Gotta agree on the ram but not on the CPU. He better get an FX-8350 than the i5-2500k , same price and the 8350 will OC better and perform better overall.

I'd rather get an SSD than upgrading my GPU from an HD7950 to an HD7970.

I think I might go with this one.
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/12EUg

I still need to purchase a monitor, and keyboard. I already have a wireless mouse which will do. :]

Also, would I be able to get an adapter or something where I can connect to my current wifi connection? Jw..

I agree, the FX-8350 would be a cheaper option compared to the i5s.

If you need a WiFi adapter, it's gonna hold you back $40.

Get this build if you need extra money.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/12Fzy

$870~

Should have enough left over for an adapter. It does perform less in games, but with the games you're playing, it shouldn't be a big difference.

It all comes down to whether you need performance vs budget. Choose whichever you prefer
