I assume you are not australian?'
What is your budget, what will you be using it for?
if for gaming, what resolution? how many monitors?

You can easy get most of these at better prices.

Did the i5 3570k finally drop in price due to haswell?

EDIT: He is AUS

Def go with Nvidia if your editing. AMD is better if your strictly gaming

Then yes that build is good for the price, get caviar blue hdd instead of black, don't get the SSD, don't get the case, get the HAF 912 Plus instead, differen't motherboard, get the ASRock z77 extreme 4. Don't get liquid cooling, get the hyper 212 evo instead. Get corsair vengeance LP ram instead or corsair vengeance red or black normal ram.

so get this:

CPU: i5 3570K
CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 evo.
Motherboard: ASRock z77 Extreme 4.
GPU: GTX 660Ti
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR 3 8Gb LP.
Case: CM HAF 912 Plus
HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB 7200RPM.

Yea he would do fine with air. I can't justify the extra 100 bucks for only a few degrees cooler.
If he was American Id suggest the Extreme6 over the 4 due to build quality
RAM can be any of the top makers. Just get the best price. Crucial is doing me justice

^AGREED

Video Editing (With some gaming) 3770K/Nvidia
Strictly gaming 3570K/AMD

No dolo, 3570k will do enough for a little video editing, though I liek nvdidia gpu's more.

But you dont know how much editing he is trying to accomplish
If I was interested in doing editing and game I'd get the 3770K. Knowing he is AUS he might wanna stick to the 3570K due to prices

If he drops to air cooling 3770K is an option

Give him two builds one 3570K and one 3770K
make it Nvidia GPU though.

up to him depending on the editing he is doing. If not a lot then save 100 bucks and go i5

If I was you I would drop the SSD, and use that extra money to buy a GTX 670. I think the performance is a lot better, and it almost matches the GTX 680. You can always get an SSD in time, unless you plan on installing your operating system on it of course.
