yeah, that was extracted from teh localization files of the game. The list is greatly lacking though. I could easily fill in blank parts of it through.

If you'd like to take at look at some of the guns I have I can make a list of what they do so you can take a look at them.

You may want to include their negative effects too. Like the acc.acc4_Double lowers damage dramatically.

I'll be including any stat effects that any part has, including accessories. Considering there are parts simply labled "acc1" and such I'm guessing that all the accessories affect stats in some way.

Reload speed is a bit harder to document, because it isn't displayed as a stat, so if it doesn't show it on the weapon ticket then there'll be a bit of a problem. If it does show then I'll put it as an extra effect.

I've added some of the value I've found out for revolver pistol, I'll add in the missing parts (Paton, Manufacturer Material, Prefix) later. Also, if someone can help me test out how to get acc4_Stabilized working, I'd greatly appreciate it. It seems to show up as none no matter what I do. (Finding a gun with stabilized in the name and posting the syntex of how the modifier is applied will help immensely)

Try adding this to your weapon:
gd_weap_revolver_pistol.Body.body3_tediore_Equalizer

Others:
gd_weap_revolver_pistol.acc.acc4_stabilized
gd_weap_shared_materialparts.ManufacturerMaterials.Material_Tediore_1
gd_weap_repeater_pistol.Prefix.Prefix_Acc2_Stabilized
gd_weap_revolver_pistol.Title.TitleM_Tediore1_Equalizer

I have not tested this, so if it doesn't work, I'm sorry :frown:

That is very, very incomplete, by the way.
Show some respect, your first post shouldn't be one that criticizes something that you just leeched off. So, if it's incomplete, complete the list then. Anyways nice Homer. Also, here is an assault rifle ammo regen.
gd_weap_combat_rifle.Body.body4_Tediore_Guardian
My mistake if this isn't it haha over 150 items.

I tried the stabilized accessory. It doesn't seem to alter the visible accuracy stat, but I had identical revolvers (apart from one with stabilized) and the stabilized one seemed to have a much closer spread when firing from the hip. Scoped didn't seem to make a difference. I'll put it down as reduced recoil for now.

Glad to see someone else is pitching in, by the way .

I guess you're probably right about that. I hope this post makes up for my rudeness.

Self intro: Hi, I'm Peewee. I've been lurking in the borderlands save editing threads since borderlands came out, what, a week ago-ish. I'm a computer science major (sophomore), but don't know a whole lot about file manipulation yet. As such, I haven't bothered trying to write a program designed to extract all the device parts or edit the saves directly. Oh, and I run the PC version, which lets me dig in the innards of the game.

I've been manually working on figuring out the rocket launcher parts for the past three days, and yesterday, I finally came up with a list of tags for the rocket launcher class of weapons. I just used notepad++ to open up gd_weap_rocket_launcher.upk found in "<game directory>\WillowGame\CookedPC\Packages\GameData\Weapons" and took a look at what I found.

Anyway, my list of rocket launcher tags direct from the data '.upk':

Does anyone know of a program that decompresses .upk files?
This would go a LOT faster if I had one, but I've searched (google, wikipedia, tpb) and I can't find what I'm looking for.

What I know about the .upk format (from rocket launcher alone):
-gobldegook at the beginning
-followed by alphabetical list of tags, formatted like this for each entry:
<LE-DWORD length of the following string, including terminal null byte>
<STRING (including the null byte)> //this is the tag
<four bytes, each with hex value 00>
<four bytes containing the hexadecimal pattern 10 00 07 00>
-The end contains roughly 155000 unknown bytes, but include some labels for special abilities.

I can only assume the unanalyzed end contains the actual content of the file, probably including the data regarding what each part does (change to accuracy, rate of fire, damage, special effect definitions, etc.).

I've been getting my weapon lists from the gamedata upks as well. I'll have a goose at the upks in a hex editor and see if any of the data matches up with the stat changes I've already worked out.
