Got another guideline after reading up on blmodding.

- You can still use any gun's prefix as evidenced by people using the smg's prefix -Twisted- to add damage to other classes.

oh yeah before the new dlc patch i had a wicked cool atlas machine gun called the shattering gasher had all 4 elements high damage high fire rate and unlimited ammo, does anyone have anything similar they could post?

dude make your own guns... and here are the new modding criteria

1) All part must be matting with the manufacture and itemgrade

2) No double parts or parts in the wrong slots

3) The only 2 things that can be changed are the title and prefix which can be whatever you choose but most people use either
Twisted +50% dmg or Shredder +2 projectiles

edit: I realized I have scattergun on the last two weapons that was a copy paste typo...

1)
any title or prefix works with every gun...
2)
why would you use Matador or scattergun?
Anarchy and Shredder are the only titles that add projectiles
Twisted adds the most % damage increase
so there is no real reason to use anything else

Obviously you haven't realized that you can use any TITLE or PREFIX with ANY GUN

And THERE is no POint in using Matador because well it doesn't really add any damage... and thats what most people want with modded guns. Each shredder adds x2 to your gun so 2 shredder titles = 5x damage on any gun and anything inbetween
You can make a 425 x20 damage using shotty with atlas hydra parts

It works on shotguns and revolvers to add +2 projectiles fired. It doesn't lower accuracy and it raises fire rate. And Hydra is useless because of the five point spread, I prefer weapons with high damage and accuracy.

I'm well aware that you can use any prefix and title.

So far this is the best SMG I've been able to create that works post patch 1.3 You could replace twisted with shredder and get x5 projectiles fired. I'm not sure what impact that would have on the damage or accuracy though. I'll try that later this weekend.

Ok this is my first time looking into modding borderlands.. I see that a bunch of people have put gun creations on the forum, and I was wondering how do you put it onto my game save.. I extracted my gamesave to the willow app. but then i get lost.. thanks

Well there's your problem. That line of code should be switched to the cannon so it looks like this:

Although, I think you may have to switch to the DLC version of the MegaCannon for it to work properly. I'm not 100% sure though since I don't really use Eridian weapons.

I think this SMG is on the top end for a white damage Weapon in the Game with very high accuracy, its like an SMG Sniper ^^

Is there any reason for using material 2? I think you'll get better stats will material 3. I haven't tried these yet, but this one especially looks like a lot of fun.

I tinkered with my original a little (really just replaced Twisted with Shredder), fires 5 rounds at once at the cost of one ammo.

Not quite as good as the two you posted BBMV, but it is one of my first attempts at modding. Also, you can use shredder shredder with my weapon to get better accuracy at the trade off of a smaller magazine.

I'd like to know the differences between the "Anarchy" and "Shredder". To me it seems to be a no brainer to use "Shredder" since "Anarchy" drops accuracy (which I do care about) and they both add x2 rounds. Why would anyone use "Anarchy"?

anarchy increases magazine size, not overly important, but many overlook this. Also, perfectly accurate weapons are not always preferred. Example, when facing crawmerax you can 'wrap' bullets around the front of his claws to hit the crit spots. This is easier to do with a lower accuracy spray and pray weapon like an anarchy.
