sooo i currently have the alienware alpha (i7) its from 2013... my birthday is in a few days so i think im gonna pick up a new toy... my budget is around 2000$... can you guys suggest some builds for me? Could possibly up budget a little... Is 2k enough for a high end PC? I'm not putting the PC together myself im ordering the parts & having it put together by Frys Electronics.
EDIT: I own a monitor so im good there, have a decent sound system so im good there, I have always gone intel but I'm open to AMD/other brands. I will mostly be using this PC for gaming & RGH purposes

Why not upgrade it? You could buy a Titan x if you really want to spend $2000+

Unless you use the Titan X the way it's met to be used it just becomes a heavy paperweight. the gtx 980 would work just fine.

It's overpriced because they build it for you. He plans on having someone else doing that for him already. So might as well buy it pre-built than getting the parts and paying someone else to do it.

Its like $50 extra to have Microcenter build it for you when it's close to $200 over on iBP.

iBuyPower sucks. They're not only over-priced, they just flat out suck. The 980 and Titan X are both terrible GPUs, their price points are horrific. What monitor do you currently own? If you're using a 1080p monitor or lower resolution, a 980Ti is a huge waste of money. What components do you currently have? Some might be re-usable and worth salvaging. Also, 250GB is nothing. That will be nowhere near enough storage whatsoever.
