The only "illegal" mods are Flashing and Rapid Fire. And even those only get you a ban from xbl. No jailtime or anything absurd like that

nope, like previously stated, it's not owned by Microsoft. It's against their policies such as Xbox Live and Warranty, so the only thing they can do is refuse service.

Flashing is legal, distribution of the firmware however isn't. Rapid fire controllers are also legal.

there all legal xcept for selling flashing software, but case mods also void the warranty of your xbox
