Ok I got approved for $3,000.00 towards my computer. Best build that I see gets 15$ gifted to them  If you talk about why your build is so leet then that might persuade me more. I'm hoping Homer will come up with something lol (hint hint). Anyways, good luck guys. Here's some things I'd like to see/want to have for sure.

    For sure want:

(see my other thread for ideas)
    superb sound card
    2monitors
    gaming headset
    gaming mouse
    gaming keyboard
ready to OC(if i want to)
    *unnecessary power*

Maybe you can make this happen?

3 monitors(must be good monitors, like in my other thread)
    water cooling?

shipping must be included in the price. Put shipping to 45833  I will paypal you 15$ instantly if I want your build or if I dont want any of them, I'll just gift the 15$ to whoevers i lik the most.

Homer is on vacation. No one knows when he'll be back (if at all?). Don't expect to see anything from him. My money is on fat rabbit (aka Tubby Bunny).

No. He said he was going on vacation for a couple of weeks, but its been a lot longer. No one really knows whats going on with him. All we can assume is that his vacation is running long.

Really there isn't much of a reason to spend that much money on a computer...

Anything over 1.5k spent on a computer is pretty much overkill if you ask me. The price/performance just inches upward after that point, and frankly it just isn't worth it. IMO I think you should tuck away the extra 1.5k for a rainy day.

That's not how I roll. I'm all about the unnecessary. I made a new build with a lot more **** anyways and for the same price, just a tad under 3,000

    Well lets go

Now, since you do got a 3000$ limit, I might as well put i7 parts together. Now for all you ATI vs Nvidia fanboys. Nvidia may have a GTX 295, but people are not too impressed with it. the new ATI 4890 cards are really good; They scale very well in CFX in games also.

MOBO: Newegg.com - Foxconn BloodRage LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

And yes, it only has 3 slots for RAM, which would be a 6gb kit. I don't find any usage and fps gain to 12gb

    CPU- Newegg.com - Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops

    RAM- Newegg.com - CORSAIR DOMINATOR 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TR3X6G1600C8D - Desktop Memory

    VIDEO CARD - 2 4890's
    Newegg.com - XFX HD-489A-ZDFC Radeon HD 4890 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

    Power Supply- Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-850HX 850W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 80 PLUS SILVER Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies

And yes, this PSU can run 2 4890's

    2x Samsung Monitors
MONITOR: Newegg.com - SAMSUNG ToC T220HD Rose Black 22" 5ms HDMI Widescreen HDTV Monitor 300 cd/m2 DC 10000:1 Built in DTV Tuner & Dolby Digital Surround Speakers - LCD Monitors

    DVD Burner: Newegg.com - LG Black 22X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 22X DVD-R 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA DVD Burner - CD / DVD Burners

Now this is where I'm stuck at.

Do you want regular Hard drives or you do want SSD's or 1 storage Seagate 7200.12 1tb and a 500gb 7200.12 for the OS?

Now for the mouse, I'm using my Logitech G5, I love it. I did just buy a Cherry keyboard(Yes Cherry is the brand name look it up) and it has mechanical switches so its a lot better than a rubber membrane and a PCB.

    Subtotal- $1,853.92
    Shipping- $33.82
Grand Total with shipping : $1,887.74

Now in my opinion, I don't find WC worth it unless you are running super high overclocks for benchmarking. Air cooling, can get a 920 to 4.2GHz depending on Ambient air temp, the fan your running, and how much vcore your running. So this is the currently the best air cooler on the Market

Prolimatech Megahalem for Intel Socket 775 / 1366

And this is a really nice fan to use with this cooler.

And yes, sidewinder is legit, I have ordered from them many times, and they are out of New york fyi.

EDIT: ****, I forgot the sound card. This sound card uses one of the best audio chips currently

Well here's kinda what I'm looking for. I don't see how you guys can get so little out of $3,000.00 to play with. Lets try this again, here's what I came up with for what I want and see if you can go off of this list. I want it to look ****in sweet, but still be powerful as hell and sound great without being too loud and I definitely need a lot of power because I'm going to also through in another video card, nvidia, for physx. I have it laying around here so I'll just use it. BTW it's an 8500 GT

xJared, IMO that ssd drive should be taken out for just another 7200 hdd and add another 6gb ram. The extra speed is almost unoticeable.
