It's hard to make Halo 2 applications since most are already made, I'm just trying to make applications that may be useful.

Well Serenity is hard, I don't think I would be able to use the code internally in my application...the Serenity.exe and included dll's would have to be in the xPPF folder and it would make it just that much more cluderd, unless I got the source or decompiled .exe I could not implement into my app.

If you guys want to see Serenity compatibility, post your thoughts and I'll take it into consideration.

I like serenity files for their generally tiny file size..is your xPPF similar in size?
if so i may download this and try to get it more popular among my friends on kai, we often trade maps around and such but a lot of them usually use ppf's and i like serenities (i don't have a very good bandwidth so i don't wanna be uploading for three minutes)

Serenity patches are better than SPPF patches. Period. There was a tool in the Killtrocity mappack that used Serenity as its patcher.

Serenity file are much better than SPPF that's for sure, I've havn't compared my xPPF format to Serenity format yet so I'm not sure what the size differences are.

I just tested that, xppf size for one of my mods 9.73 mb, serenity size for the same mod 5.57 mb but serenity took 43 seconds to finish while your app took about 15.

Well Serenity also has 2 types of compression it uses and xPPF only has one, thats more than likely the reason it took longer to create.
