If you have a PS3 still, maybe similar to this? Idk much about PlayStation. Is there a storage similar to cloud? If so try this but sub ps3 for 360 and ps4 for xb1:

You need Old Gen 360
Turn it on, go into setting/storage
Find Borderlands/Game save
Copy the game save desired to the cloud
Load up Backward Comp 360 disc on XB1
Export the save
Load up GOTY on XB1
Import the save

Just trying to figure out how to get my ps3 borderlands character on my pS4 for the GOTY version.

1. Start up your PS3 and sign in to PSN
2. Start Borderlands (does not need to be GOTY and must be on latest update 1.07)
3. From the main menu.. Click Export Character
4. Click Existing Character (brings up your saves)
5. Select the save you want to import (it will ask if you want to load the save... Click Yes)

You will be shown a screen that says your upload was successful.

Start PS4 and Borderlands GOTY
1. Click import character (menu will say that you have a shared character)
2. Click save as new
3. Now click start game and then click select character

You will now see your imported character ready to be used.

If you are talking about resigning saves then you need to get one of your own saves drag it in to bruteforce set as default profile and then drag and drop the other saves in and rebuild (full) pdf

are you on a demo update or a OFW update on your playstation because having the demo will let you online without having the updates

save has to be 808kb or under when you load it in export menu for it to actually upload

Like all together or what?
yes when you go to the export screen it will say how big your file is. Just make sure it is under, when getting the save off of your flashdrive don't worry about that it will always be 1000+

So I can't just go on the ps3 version and do it like I could for borderlands 2?

you can you just can't have like 400+ items on the character. Or modded backpack sizes past 1000

Wht bout modded gear otherwise?
goes through just fine. It just has to be under 808kb when you are selecting the save to export. Modded gear of course has to be up to date with 1.30 or it will get deleted. I haven't looked for a bypass yet since i've been super busy IRL and on borderlands 2/TPS and PS4 projects i'm currently working on.
