    Get host WITHOUT bridging?

Currently on a comp were i can bridge but have a lagswitch/standby button etc. Wondered if i can use these to get host as opposed to bridging?

Yeah, you have to be more careful though. You need a full party, then you start it up. Once the 2 boxes are checked, click or press the button/whatever it is, and leave it for 10-11 seconds (Since it's a lagswitch, you need to be careful about holding it too long). Then press it again to stop standbying and then you'll get host once you get into a game.

I try using my standby button now and I hardly ever get host with it.

How long do you press the button? You need to do it for about 10 seconds.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm interested in trying this method. Is this any more "dangerous" than bridging? What happens if you lag for mor than 10-11 sec? Disconnect? And do you have to be the host of the full party? Thanks!

Use NetTools, you don't need to bridge with that
