I need to open my old xbox to fix the ring of death then Jtag it but the LAST screw is stripped, it even stripped my only torx 8 screwdriver :frown: any way around it?

take a rubber band and place it over the screw it will provide more friction.

if the head sticksout enough you can take a dremel and grin a slot in it for a flat head

or use a screw extractor. at homedepot.

Ouch, not a good situation to be in!!

Try getting a fine pair of pliers. If not, you will have to keep digging at with the screwdriver until it comes free.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_screw_drives#Robertson I know the #0 driver fits a stripped T10 and pops it right out, so a #00 might possibly fit a T8 if you get lucky. This is great if you happen to have a screwdriver set sitting around like I do, there are some uncommon driver shapes that'll really help with the random stripped head on a screw.

Do the ghetto Nintendo screwdriver method. Take a clear pen casing, melt the tip and hurry and jam it into the screw, and it will form the shape of the stripped hole, and then let it cool down in the hole, and twist it out.
