I wouldn't really recommend using the Ace v3 on a Phat console.
CoolRunner Rev C/D is the way to go with them.

However, if you've already ordered the Ace v3, you can look here:
X360 ACE
The ace chips are a bit more complicated than the other ones. For them you will need a 22K resistor and depending on what version ace you have you will either have to remove a resistor or a diode. See the pictures below.

*For the install diagram below I have used an X360 ace V3 rev 2 board. If you have a different board, use this picture to solder the 1.8V point, the rest of the points D, F, C, 5V and GND are the same on all versions of the ace.

I have a couple of ace v3's laying around, never really used them. But i just ordered some coolrunners, and 2 trinity xbox's.

Because i heard it is much easier to rgh a trinity with a ace v3.

Oh yeah for sure. Ace v3 is definitely so much easier on the Trinity or Corona.
But for Phat Consoles, I'd always recommend a CoolRunner Rev C/D.
