I got two 2TB external drives and put around 600GB on one of them in one sitting. For some reason a day or so later it just stopped working and wouldn't read anymore. I assumed maybe I over done it with installing stuff and it burned out. So I started using the second one and the same happened. This time it reads but everything just showed as corrupted this time and it won't allow me to format it. Anything I try to do it just comes up "can't perform action". I now have two dead drives. Google hasn't really helped. Any ideas?

You can try using a software like EaseUs and see if repairing the sectors would workout. Maybe try limiting/formatting the drive to using one TB instead of the full two and see if it reads.

Thanks for the tips guys. Unfortunately I do not have a PC to do this on. I only have an Android and my RGH, so if there is any way to do something with that set-up?
