How to get rid of a IP ban
Today Im going to show you how to get rid of a IP ban on your computer.

How it works

This works for a user with "always-on" connections such as cable, dsl, or LAN. If you have dial-up then simply reconnect to the internet. This only works with a Dynamic IP. This will not work if you have a static IP. If you have a Static Ip you will have to phone your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and tell them you want it changed.

Note: if you have a static IP and want it changed it may cost money. Some will do it free for a certain amount of times a year. Some wont do it at all unless you have a good excuse.

Warning: Do Not Do This If You Are Unsure Of What You Are Doing. This only works with static IP's

This is why
Static IP - Will not change when you do this.
Dynamic ip - will change allowing you to do this.

Lets get started

1. Go to Start >> Run >> Type CMD or Start >> Search >> CMD

2. Then type in IPconfig/release

6. Select Internet Protocol then click Properties

7. Now select "use the following IP address" and just type in random numbers. Then hit Tab and the subnet mask will default.

8. Now click ok and accept all that.

9. Go back to Internet Protocol

Remember that this only works for Dynamic IPs.
If you have a static IP you will have to call your ISP and ask them for a reset. Chances are you wont get one unless you have a good excuse.

Been posted many times before, and there are much simpler ways of doing it :o

http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/topic/178117-how-to-change-your-ip-address/

Static ip - ip won't change if you reset router.
Dynamic ip - will change...

Few ways I know of -

1. Command prompt (ip renew/ up release)
2. 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.0 log in for d link it's 0.0 password as default is blank user is normally admin, then reboot be careful not to get factory settings.
3. Unplug router for 10 secs plug back should take 30 secs

Sorry i didnt see it. I know you can reset your router but if you do it this way you wont have to disturb anything on the network.

This would only work assuming your PC is handling the internet connection. It wont work when behind a router since your IP is assigned by the router.
And last time I was able to change IP's like that was to sign off AOL and come back on. Good 13+ years ago
