Well... here it is. After building several part lists on this website, from changing minor parts to starting from scratch, I can finally say that my build has officially been completed (pre-water cooling loop). The name for this build is derived from the Direwolf "Ghost" on Game of Thrones.

To be honest with you guys, I have no specific reason for this build and the parts of which I have chosen other than the fact that I know It'll be able to handle anything I throw at it for the years to come. Currently, the main uses for the build, however, will be:
10% Gaming
20% Website Design
30% Coding
40% Watching Youtube.

Future plans for the rig will be doing a complete water cooling loop (Once I save up some more). Adding new case fans with leds, adding more storage, and maybe an additional 32gb of ram.

Current Specs
CPU: AMD 2990WX Threadripper
Motherboard: Asus Zenith Extreme Alpha
GPU: Asus ROG Strix RTX 2080ti OC
RAM: 32GB GDDR4 3466 mhz Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB
PSU: Seasonic 1000W Platinum
Storage: Samsung 970 Evo 1TB M.2
Case: Phanteks P600s window/white
CPU Cooler: Bequiet Dark Rock Pro TR4
Misc: Red Cable Mod Pro cables

Nice and clean

32gb of ram is already overkill, what would you do with 64?

Great build. Why didn't you go for 4k? Wanted high refresh rate?

Thanks! And yes, the higher refresh rate was more appealing to me.

Ram is so expensive :frown:
Don't you know about downloading more ram, its the secret ram manufacturers don't want you to know.

But on a sereous note, that is a great looking system you got there.

But still curious, why spend thousands when all you plan to do is code and watch youtube?

You didn't need a rig like that for your uses. Also the HP Omen is a **** tier monitor its a TN 144hz monitor (its 165hz is actually higher inputlag and response times than its 144hz mode) that cost more than IPS/VA 1440p 144hz monitors.

Infact you could have purchased the 1440p 144hz VA Samsung C27HG70 which has over 90% DCI-P3 (HDR Color Gamut) coverage, HDR 600, high contrast ratios & similar response times & inputlag to the HP Omen

The HP Omen has terrible Backlight bleed, terrible color banding, terrible contrast ratios & just overall is ****.

While look how fantastic the C27HG70 scores.

I agree with both statements. I've had the HP Omen for awhile now, I used it with my old system therefore it's nothing new. Blacklight bleed on it is ridiculous. However the monitor I want is out of my price range at the moment for what it is. I have other things that I'll be purchasing which I want to direct my money towards.

And for my uses, no I don't need it. Did I want it however and have the money for it, yes. So no big deal there.
