Destiny 2's beta, and Destiny 2 itself is right around the corner. Feel free to drop your Destiny 2 complaints in here.

This thread should be used for:
  • Complaints about the game in general
  • Complaints about decisions made by Bungie regarding the game world
  • Complaints about implementation of different ideas in the game world
Regular site and section rules still apply here. Violators will be consumed by the Darkness.

  1. Not feeling the loadout changes. Especially having auto/pulse rifles in two slots now is just redundant.
  2. Visuals are nice but so far core gameplay doesn't make up too much. Still a little early as it is a beta. Still think 60fps would have made this game a way more better upgrade on consoles. A lot of people say Destiny 1.5 but I think still being at 30fps is whats limiting its potential (once again).
  3. Supers needs a MAJOR speed increase. They take way too long to charge. I played an entire PVP game without being able to use it once cause it only got to 90% by the time the game ended.

About the supers, that's probably in there to please the "competitive" crowd a bit. You must have had a bad game because that doesn't really seem possible to happen frequently.

Not really. I went 16-8 in a game in it only got to 90% by the time it ended (control). Every other time its a hit or miss, but at most I've only gotten my super once.

PVE is worse. You hardly get your super back at all.

I didn't even know we had supers.

Now that I played the beta, I can drop some comments.
  1. The 30 FPS is definitely killing it. It felt extremely "heavy" when turning and reacting to things. But it might be because I got used to playing at 60 FPS on PC. I got used to it after a bit, but it made me more excited to play on PC.
  2. Heavy ammo spawning for apparently only 1 person seems pretty neat, however, I wish it was 2 people, and not 1.

Yeah, I think 30FPS is definitely holding the game back a bit. But I don't think we'll be able to get anywhere further with that for consoles. The Xbox One X and PS4 Pro can probably run the game at 1080P@60FPS (they already said the PS4 Pro can't run it 4K@60FPS, and we don't know about the Xbox One X), but the regular Xbox One and PS4 would only be able to handle it steadily at 30FPS. It made me excited to play it on PC, though.
Supers needs a MAJOR speed increase. They take way too long to charge. I played an entire PVP game without being able to use it once cause it only got to 90% by the time the game ended.
Agreed, it should be a little faster, so you can get at least 2 charged per game. But I understand why they would've increased the recharge time. I played a few matches of Countdown, and I think I only managed to use my Super 1 time per match, and each match went about 6-8 rounds.

Overall, I think it does kinda feel lackluster for the console players, but it's just a beta. So we'll see what happens when the game launches. Either way, I'm excited to get back into the grind. Destiny has some of the best gunplay I've seen, and you can't lie that it'll be fun to shoot stuff again .

2 primary slots? GTFO here will that.

In pvp it's an ok change, but for PVE it's straight dookie. Imagine killing atheon year 1 with only an auto rifle and the occasional sniper shot

Welp after completing the game here is my opinions on everything that should be changed:

1: Advanced AI (enemies seem to miss about 60% of their shots and walk in the other AIs shots)

2: SMG small nerf and big buff (SMG nerf for PvE and SMG buff for PvP)

3: Faster cool down/recharge times (abilities and supers feel like they are never to be used due to huge recharge delays)

4: Making fire teams 4 to compensate for the lack of 6v6 PvP matches

5: slightly faster leveling past level 20 (no more than 20,000 as that barely scratches the surface of leveling up at this point)

6: Earlier use of sparrows (people who want to look at the maps will, however, others will walk past it no matter what)

7: Making the phalanx have a stun animation (this would be very helpful as it is harder to kill hordes of phalanxes when there is 3+ at a time)

8: Increasing Shrieker hitbox and slightly decreasing target tracking possibly adding back the shrieker death blast

9: Lowering exotic drop rate. (it is a trophy to earn 15 now while it was a trophy to earn 1 in Destiny 1)

10: Creating a legend for maps to tell icons apart.

11: Increasing enemies spawned per "load" (load referring to how many dropped/spawn at one time from a single point)

12: Where are private matches????

13: Where is my sparrow horn???

Yes, most of these would negatively affect players, but it would make the game a lot more fun in my opinion and are needed as well.

I just got this game from a friend who game-shared it with me on xbox. I know I'm a bit late to the complaint party, but I'm going to share my 2 cents on the matter.
  • None of the characters are interesting enough to care about, except for Cayde 6 and everyone only likes him because 'lol he so random'
  • The few characters I actually liked from the first game (Mara Sov, Eris and Petra Venj) are nowhere to be seen or heard of again
  • Bungie pretty much retconned everything that happened in the first game. The only one who seems to remember anything is Lord Shaxx, since he calls you "Saladin's Young Wolf," even Saladin doesn't call you that.
  • The f:eek:king Speker dies(?) and I'm supposed to care but I don't because he never said anything important, but I'm supposed to care because the game insists that he's important
  • None of the new PvE gametypes that were in the first game (Prison of Elders, Archon's Forge and Court of Oryx) are in the second. The mechanics are already made, they could easily reskin it and put it in the second. I'm really worried that they'll bring them back as part of a DLC at a later date and tell us that they're new game modes.
  • They took the economy system which they got working just fine in the first and replaced it with the Token/Engram based economy, which I assume will get fixed at a later date since there's a lot of backlash on it.
  • The f:cry:king Taken are still here
  • There's no new enemy types aside from the Cabal War Dogs and Cabal Gladiators
  • The strike bosses are still just enlarged standard enemy types
  • Some of the weapons are just reskinned variants from the first game
  • There's only 4 types of public events, which get incredibly dull and repetitive since we have to grind them to level up
  • The Taken are still here
  • A lot of the exotic gear look nice, but that's about all they have going for them. (they aren't very good)
  • We still know very little about the Traveler and the Darkness. All we know is that the traveler grants us these magical abilities, fights off the darkness and has been to a few other places before us. Seriously, the Traveler is and important aspect of the game and is in most of the game's marketing, yet we still know next to nothing about it.
  • The motherf:arghh:king Taken are still here
That's all I have for now, I know it's a long list. I'm glad I didn't preorder this game, I only had it for a few days and I'm already bored with it.

The game is ****, Bungie don't give a fuq long way since their halo 3 days, probably Activisions fault, at the end of the day that's me not buying another bungie game like ever. Paid for that 2 hour game-play dlc on release which is rehashed and re textured crap.
