Everything the fans wanted is starting to come true! Starting on June 9th, there will be a wave of new things coming to Xbox One. The biggest for a lot of people is a new Xbox One without Kinect. While I may love the Kinect and I believe everyone should love it, it may be a good move for Xbox. This can cater to the people who couldn't afford the $500 for the console and the people who don't want Kinect. The new version of the Xbox One will cost $399, the same price as the PS4. The standalone version of the Kinect will be available later in the fall.

Games With Gold is coming to Xbox One as well in June! It is to correlate with the one year anniversary of the Games With Gold launch. For Xbox 360 owners, there will be an additional free game this month. The three games for Xbox 360 are "Dark Souls", "Charlie Murder", and "Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition". Now for the Xbox One launch, it will feature two free games, "Halo: Spartan Assault" and "Max: The Curse of the Brotherhood". There was a change in Games With Gold though. For Xbox One, you will have to have Xbox Live Gold to play the free games you downloaded. Many people usually have Xbox Live Gold all the time so this shouldn't be a problem. It is identical to the requirements of Playstation Plus as well.

Another great thing coming is Deals with Gold. I have been waiting for this for a long time. This will include deals every month for great games. In June, there will be sales on "Forza Motorsport 5" and "Ryse: Son of Rome". There also a few surprise sales so don't think that is everything. There is a new feature dealing with this coming exclusively to Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox One. It is called the virtual VIP room and it will feature free games, game deals, and other benefits for Gold members.

Lastly, there is a big shift coming to people that use Xbox One's entertainment apps such as Netflix, Twitch, NFL, and many more. You will no longer need Xbox Live gold to use many entertainment apps now. This means if you don't have Gold for a month you can still use many of the apps on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

I for one am very excited for these new features and am actually hoping to see even more at E3. Many people criticized Xbox and counted it out in the console wars but this is proof that Xbox hasn't given up yet. With the help of loyal fans, we can help make the Xbox One the best it can be.
