Ten years ago Microsoft launched the first Xbox console. Since its initial release we've seen many changes; from the introduction of Xbox LIVE to the Kinect franchise. Xbox has evolved a lot since it first hit our shelves.

As a thank you for all of the support, Microsoft is giving away a free arcade game - Wreckateer. This game will be available for both today and tomorrow entirely free of charge. Sadly, it's requires Kinect to play, so for all it may seem a selfless act of kindness it's evidently just a marketing ploy. There will also be an avatar item to celebrate the event that'll be available over this time frame.

As well as this free game some hit arcade titles will see discounts. Castle Crashers, Battlefield 1943, Fruit Ninja Kinect, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, Bastion, Peggle and Full House Poker will all be half price. Personally, I've played most of these and can say they're quite fun. They may be worth a buy if you have some spare Microsoft Points lying around.

For full details check 'Spotlight' on the Xbox Dashboard. Overall though, this is pretty interesting. I'm not going to complain at a free game. I managed to get a cheap Kinect with my Xbox so it'll be a change to use it. What do you guys think about this? Leave your comments below.

Note: Sorry that this isn't very well written. I have a horrible headache and am finding it difficult to type. Might touch this up if I feel a bit better later on.
