Phil Spencer, Microsoft's head of Xbox, revealed on Twitter that he and the team are very interested in making games from Microsoft's original Xbox console compatible on the Xbox One. Spencer responded to a fan asking about porting Xbox original games to the Xbox One, in which Spencer replied: "I don't think it's silly. I ask the BC team this question a lot. Need to finish 360 BC for now."

I'm sure some of you are very happy about the news, but don't get too excited yet. Spencer merely said that it is something the Xbox development team is looking into at the moment. We would obviously have to wait until Microsoft finishes finalizing and perfecting Xbox One backwards compatibility with Xbox 360 titles, which could end up taking quite awhile.

Microsoft's E3 announcement about the Xbox One's backwards compatibility feature was probably one of the greatest things that came out of E3. More than a hundred Xbox 360 and XBLA games will become available to Xbox One owners for absolutely free when the feature launches. Unfortunately, the exact date of the launch is currently unknown. Xbox 360 titles that have already become available to Xbox One owners include Gears of War: Judgement, Super Meat Boy, and many others. If this was to take effect, what games would you like to see?

Would be good to have that support but doubt it.

Usually old games will be kept away until they become marketable again thus charging us again.

IF they put in backwards compability on the Xbox 1 allowing you to play games like bo2 and mw2 then what good will the Xbox 360 be? I mean I'm on board with this big idea but I'm just unsure what would happened to the 360 community. would you have to transfer stats? Or is it just the newer games being in the reverse compability?

Nope, cod have declined to work with Microsoft to being their old games to Xbox one. It's not happening.

Sounds cool, but considering most of my game-time on the OG Xbox was spent playing the first two Halos, I wouldn't be blown away if they added them, considering I can already play them on the One.
