"SteamOS combines the rock-solid architecture of Linux with a gaming experience built for the big screen. It will be available soon as a free stand-alone operating system for living room machines."
Valve has revealed their OS that combines the digital distribution platform of Steam with Linux, to create a completely free OS that is specifically designed for PC gaming. SteamOS (and Steam itself) also has a few new features coming their way including, music and video streaming, family sharing, and even the ability to stream games to your TV!
Valve ends by saying hundreds of games are already running natively on SteamOS and that they will "show off " all the new AAA titles coming natively to SteamOS in 2014 and that SteamOS will also be "constantly evolving" and will "continue to deliver not only valuable game updates directly from content makers, but also regular additions and new features to the OS itself."
