Sega today released a new trailer featuring first gameplay footage for Total War: Warhammer 2 during the PC Gaming Show at E3 2017.

The company also announced a release date of Sept. 28 for the Windows PC game.

Sega said in a release that players who pre-order Total War: Warhammer 2 or purchase the game in its first week will get an “early adopter bonus” in the form of free Race Pack DLC for the original Total War: Warhammer. The yet-to-be-revealed content will be released prior to Total War: Warhammer 2.

Created by developer Creative Assembly, Total War: Warhammer 2 is the second game in a trilogy of real-time strategy battle simulations. The games all feature large armies taken from the lore of the Warhammer fantasy world. This game adds Lizardmen and dinosaurs to the ranks of orks, elves and dragons, also greatly expanding landmass.

Creative Assembly's Total War series goes back to the 2000 release of Shogun: Total War, and generally recreates historical conflicts, allowing players to control large armies. But with Total War: Warhammer, the series took a fantasy turn, with generally positive results.
