Blood and Wine was announced alongside Hearts of Stone, the first of the two DLCs planned for The Witcher 3 after its release. Not much is known about Blood and Wine, other than that it will take Geralt to an untouched land free from the war the rest of the world is facing. Under that mask of peace and prosperity, however, lies a dark and disturbing secret. The only other information known about Blood and Wine is that CD Projekt RED has planned to release it in the first half of 2016, which lines up with the reported release date leaked by Polish gaming website GRYOnline.
Blood and Wine has been described by CD Projekt RED as a "20-hour tale," introducing new areas, characters, and a mysterious story to be uncovered by players.
