As promised, Ubisoft pulled back the curtain on The Division 2 during Microsoft's E3 2018 press conference. Along with sharing the game's first trailer and gameplay footage, Ubisoft revealed a few details about the upcoming shooter, including its release date: March 15, 2019.

Unlike the previous game, which was set in Manhattan, The Division 2 takes place in Washington, DC.

Ubisoft first announced a sequel to The Division was in the works during a livestream back in March. Until now, however, the publisher shared very few details about the project, only confirming that it is being developed by the same primary studios that worked on the first entry, including Massive Entertainment, Red Storm, and Ubisoft Reflections. Ubisoft also teased that players will be able to transfer some progress from the first game over to the sequel.

We'll presumably get another look at the title during Ubisoft's own E3 press conference. That is scheduled to take place tomorrow, June 11, at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET.
