Earlier today, at the San Diego Comic-Con, Infinity Ward announced that Terminal, which first appeared in 2009 as part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, will be making a return to the upcoming game. As you can see pictured above, Terminal is being re-imagined to fit the science-fiction theme of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and will be offered as a pre-order bonus to anyone getting the base game or above.

As with most map remakes, the structure often remains the same, but comes completely redesigned to fit the theme of the game. While this isn't always the case, such as the Terminal remake in Modern Warfare 3, it appears they have decided to completely overhaul the map. This take on Terminal puts players on the moon with what appears to be a space station, with a space shuttle seemingly replacing the passenger jet that so many have come to love.

Players will obtain access to the map if they preorder any of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's editions before its November 4th release date later this year. Remember that pre-ordering the Legacy edition or Legacy Pro edition of the game, set at $79.99 and $119.99 respectively, will get you both the Terminal remake and the Modern Warfare remaster. If you haven't seen gameplay of the latter, you can do so by clicking here.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is set to release on November 4th later this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Why can't they just make new maps instead of recreating the old ones? They seem lazy to be honest, to put effort into making something new.

Last CoD I've bought was Black Ops 2. The franchise seems to be on a decline for the past few years, the games just get progressively worse; hence the reason why I'm switching over to Battlefield this year. The only thing that would make me go back to CoD is a STANDALONE Modern Warfare 2 Remaster. That's all I'm asking for.

Get ready for all the corner campers and the one guy in the plane and the one dude on the roof. Nothing but camping happens on this map.

I like that Terminal is coming back but eversince Advanced Warfare, I found Call of Duty to be a dead end. I seen the trailer of Infinite Warfare and wasn't even slightly interested in it, infact I was quite sad to see another futuristic Call of Duty. Call of Duty isn't even remotley interesting to me anymore. Still waiting for MW4, not this futuristic s**t.

Honestly if this becomes a thing I would love it to come out free for all the players who don't get round to pre-ordering it

Yeahhh, no. Maybe if it was a expansion pack in COD 4 or they remade MW2, but for Infinite Warfare? No thanks, it'll destroy the nostalgia with the futuristic mechanics. They're making you pay a lot for this by saying that you can only get it by purchasing a certain package deal but that's false, they say this in every Call of Duty yet it comes out in a form of a public DLC.

Its also sad that people are actually going to buy the game. Activision knows this. Black Ops 2 had the same feedback on their trailer and it eventually became one of the best CODs.

It also was in the near future and didn't have exo-suits/ thrusters. I can't speak for everyone but unlike Black Ops 2 I won't be buying this game.. even for Cod4 I'll just wait.

I'm hoping this new map hasn't been ruined with their 'remake', although I probably won't even find out as I'm boycotting this years game.

I'm way more excited about Battlefield, CoD has lost it's ways!
