Arguably a strong Xbox One exclusive, Quantum Break has been delayed till 2016. The game was originally planned for a 2014 release before being delayed to 2015. Remedy, the studio behind Max Payne and Alan Wake, are the masterminds behind this flagship title. Remedy has stated the main reasoning for this delay is because of the already crowded 2015 lineup. The devs feel like releasing next year with a "monster" new IP will help the game have more appeal. Remedy made a statement saying they will take advantage of this delay to help polish and fine tune the game so it is the same caliber we have come to know from them. At this time, there is no official release date for the game other than 2016.

Known for their superb storytelling, Remedy has given us 2 great titles in the past few years. Alan Wake and Max Payne both were great games and had some amazing story elements. The team at Remedy stated "We thank our fans for their patience, and want them to know that the team is taking advantage of this opportunity to polish and fine tune the game to create the kind of standout entertainment experience they’ve come to expect from us". Personally, I don't know whether this delay is good or not. To me it seems like they don't have the confidence releasing the game against some of the heavyweights coming this year, Witcher 3 and the latest Metal Gear coming to mind instantly. Only time will tell if they will deliver once again like they have done in the past.
