With many highly anticipated games coming soon to Sony's PlayStation 4, it should come as no surprise that the console's price would get marked down in time for the holiday season. Though the PlayStation 4 just recently received a permanent price reduction of $50, Sony is dropping another $50 off of the price of the Star Wars Battlefront and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection bundles. This holiday sale will be going on from now until December 19.

Some retailers are going a bit further to add some bonuses to the bundles in addition to their price drops. For example, Best Buy has opted to include a copy of Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition within the bundle.

The Force is definitely strong with PlayStation. The Star Wars Battlefront Standard Edition bundle features a 500GB PS4 and a DualShock 4 in Jet Black, the Star Wars Battlefront game, and a digital voucher to download four classic Star Wars games (Super Star Wars, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, and Star Wars Bounty Hunter).

If you’re looking for blockbuster action, the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection PS4 bundle includes the single-player campaigns for Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, as well as a 500GB PS4 and a DualShock 4 in Jet Black.

There has been no mention of any price reduction for the Xbox One, however. Although Microsoft dropped the console's price from $350 to $300 during the Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping events, they have not announced another price drop for the Xbox One during the holidays.

Nice! I am very happy that people will now be able to afford this great console  Just got mine last month and I love it!

I think both should be priced lower than $300 because I do not honestly believe either the PS4 or XB1 are very impressive in terms of performance, they could've done a lot better. Might just be me though.

Really thinking about getting one soon but I'd want a bigger hard drive.

I'd recommend buying the 500gb one and upgrading the hard drive separate, definitely saves money.
(you could sell the 500gb one later if you wanted to)

True but I don't know how many games I would really get for the PS4 considering I like Xbox a lot more.

So wait, a PS4 and Battlefront for $300? Not bad at all actually.

Some retailers are offering bonus items, such as Best Buy with their copy of Destiny: TTK Legendary Edition. Not sure what other retailers are offering, if anything, but you might have some options.

Never been a greater time to jump in and get a PS4 system. 2016 has a very strong lineup of upcoming games.
