Since Dragon Ball FighterZ released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC earlier this year, Bandai Namco has been rolling out a regular stream of DLC characters for the popular Dragon Ball fighting game. The publisher has now unveiled the eighth and final fighter included in the game's season pass: Android 17.
This isn't Android 17's first appearance in Dragon Ball FighterZ; his former partner Android 18 could notably call him in during a battle to assist her with certain attacks, but this marks the first time 17 will appear in a playable form. As Bandai Namco explains: "During his initial introduction into the Dragon Ball universe, Android 17 was known to be a reckless anarchist, a troublemaker, and a real heel. After experiencing death and being brought back to life by Shenron, his brush with great-beyond caused Android 17 to take on a life of peace and obscurity."
The former villain is scheduled to arrive later this week and sports his outfit from Dragon Ball Super. It appears his moves are largely derived from Dragon Ball Super as well. According to Bandai Namco, he can cloak himself in a protective barrier and wall jump to quickly get behind his opponents. You can take a look at Android 17's reveal trailer above.

Android 17 will join the Dragon Ball FighterZ roster alongside the game's seventh DLC character, Cooler, before the end of September. As previously mentioned, both fighters are included as part of the FighterZ Pass, which costs $35 and grants owners access to all eight of the game's DLC characters. Players will also have the option to purchase either fighter individually for $5 apiece.
