The fourth expansion to the World of Warcraft series will become commercially available as of September 25th. Mists of Pandaria can be bought in stores or digitally for $39.99/£29.99.
After an extensive beta, Blizzard has received excellent feedback from World of Warcraft gamers from across the globe, and rightly so as this expansion contains the most variety of new content in an expansion pack. The features are said to appeal to "new players, veterans and everyone in between."
Not only will the expansion itself be available, but a special Collector's edition will be exclusively hitting the shelves, with tons of extra goodies. The suggested retail price for this edition, however, will come at a hefty $79.99/£59.99.
A Digital Deluxe version will also be available to download from the official website, containing the in-game additions which come with the Collector's edition for $59.99/£39.99. Or if you buy the regular edition but then decide at a later date you wish to purchase the Digital Deluxe version, you can upgrade for an additional $20/£10.
The in-game bonuses include a new mount: the mystical Imperial Quilen flying mount and a Lucky Quilen Cub to journey alongside you. If you're a fan of other games developed by Blizzard, you will also receive StarCraft II Battle.net portraits and Diablo III Banner Sigil and Accent.
If you decide to go with the pricier Collector's Edition you will receive all of the above, plus a behind the scenes DVD/Blu-ray, which discusses the creation of Pandaria; a soundtrack which contains 20 orchestral pieces from the fourth expansion; The Art of Mists of Pandaria book which contains plenty of images from early concepts to the finalised renderings; and finally a Chen Stormstout Mouse Pad.
Big things are in store for those who dwell in the land of Azeroth, so be sure to save some cash up for the big adventure set to arrive on September 25th.
