As we get closer to the release date for Mirror's Edge: Catalyst, DICE has decided to reveal some more information about Faith's next freerunning adventure. Updating the Mirror's Edge Catalyst site, DICE has given gamers some insight on the areas they'll be able to visit in the game, along with the different factions they'll be facing off against.

The city of Glass will be divided into three different districts called Downtown, Anchor, and the View. Each district will have its own unique theme and environment, which will separate it from the other districts. The Anchor district is one of the wealthiest sections in the city of Glass. Filled with populated shopping areas and a buzzing nightlife scene, this is the place where citizens go to have fun. The Anchor district is home to many of the most powerful and influential corporations within the Conglomerate and their respective leaders. Currently under construction in the Anchor is the Bauble Mall, a massive shopping center meant to be the cornerstone for the wealthy and lavish lifestyle The Anchor and its citizens represent.

The Conglomerate is a massive operation consisting of 13 corporations. Each corporation is run by some of the wealthiest and most powerful families in Cascadia. Each family is locked in a never-ending struggle for power, each fully prepared to do whatever it takes to keep their seat at the table. Some of the most powerful and influential forces in the Conglomerate include the powerful security force, KrugerSec, the technology gurus at Silvine Systems, and the medicinal specialists at Elysium Corp.

Located in the center of the city of Glass is the Downtown district. Home to many stores that sell clothes and other products aimed at special clients, The Downtown district is where the Elysium Corporation building is located, a place where only the best of the best in the medicinal field perform their research. Runners have been sighted heavily throughout the Downtown district, and are seen clashing with members of KrugerSec, who attempt to take them down.

The Runners are a unique group of off-Grids who have rebelled from the Conglomerate. They live on rooftops and are divided into multiple factions, each working towards a common goal. The Runners are parkour specialists, and they know every nook and cranny of the city like the back of their hands. They perform odd jobs for anyone willing to fatten their wallets, and are constantly hunted by KrugerSec members, who have orders to kill any Runner they see on sight. Despite this, certain Corporate Houses still heavily rely on the Runners to assist them in their corrupt goals.

The last faction is a strong resistance movement led by Rebecca Thane, called Black November. A once peaceful protester who turned to violence to spread her message, Rebecca and her forces do whatever they can to incite riots in their attempt to spark a revolution against the authorities in Cascadia. Sworn enemies of the Conglomerate and KrugerSec, their constant clashes may soon lead to civilian casualties.

Last but not least you have the View. An upper-class residential area which has been viewed as the last step before gaining access to Sky City. The View is considered a getaway location, a place where citizens can take a break from the hustle and bustle of Downtown and The Anchor. Citizens can take a stroll along seaside locations, visit the local marina, have a picnic on the beach or participate in any other calming activities the View has to offer. Which district appeals the most to you? Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst launches this May on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Are you ready to fight as Faith alongside your fellow Runners?
