Earlier today, the good folks over at Pebble unveiled their brand new Pebble smartwatch. Cleverly titled the Pebble Time Round, the new smartwatch measures at a measly 7.5mm thick and weighing in at 28 grams. This gadget is the thinnest and lightest smartwatch ever made. This new watch is meant for those people who are interested in buying a smartwatch, but may be holding back on it due to the typical look that most of them carry among each other. This watch is designed to be a stylish accessory to your outfits, with all of the features you would find on a typical Pebble smartwatch included.
For those of you who may not be familiar, Pebble is a smartwatch company that as you may have guessed, makes smartwatches. They strive towards making affordable and easy to use smartwatches that include all of the typical things that you would find on any other smartwatch. These things include viewing your incoming calls, viewing text messages, alerting you of all of the other notifications you may receive on your phone and many more. The Pebble watches also support application installation through the Pebble App Store which has more than 8,000 applications that were developed using the free Pebble SDK. Their watches are compatible with Android and iOS devices using a Bluetooth connection. The Pebble Time, the watch that followed the original Pebble Classic was released earlier this year in August. The Pebble Classic and Pebble Time both received steel editions to offer a more luxurious experience.
The Pebble Time Round will include everything that the original Pebble Time included, in fact, seemingly nothing has changed internally compared to the original Pebble Time. The watch will feature a lot of customization options though, presumably in an effort to provide the user with the best looking watch that they can possible tailor for themselves. The new watch does claim to be splash resistant, and features a battery capable of supplying enough power for around 2 days of usage. The Pebble Time Round is expected to launch sometime in November for North America and early 2016 in Europe. The watch will start at $249 USD with pre-orders opening today. What do you think? Do you like this new stylish version of the Pebble Time better than the original? Will you be buying this smartwatch? Leave your thoughts below!
