Out of the blue today Nintendo of America announced that a Yoshi Limited Edition 3DS XL will be hitting North American markets to celebrate the release of the new 3DS title Yoshi's New Island. The console will be sold for $199.99 the same price as the stock 3DS XL console but unfortunately the console will not come with Yoshi's New Island preinstalled so consumers will have to buy the game for the retail price of $39.99.

Rumours were floating around earlier last month in regards to a possible Yoshi LE console, later being confirmed for Europe markets and now North American markets. The console is being advertised in Toys 'R' Us and KMart ads with other retailers to follow. Those interested in purchasing a 3DS may want to look into picking this console up as it could only be around for a short amount of time. The Yoshi LE Console will be hitting shelves March 14th.
