Nintendo has announced when it will fully reveal its Switch console. You'll get a proper look at the new platform on January 12 at 8 PM PST / 11 PM EST--that's 4 AM on January 13 for those in the UK. The event will be livestreamed on Nintendo's website.

It's currently unclear how long the stream will last, though Nintendo's regular Direct streams typically reach around 45 minutes in length.

It's likely we'll get a look at some of the system's launch titles. So far, Lego City Undercover and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are among the games confirmed to be coming to Switch at some point, though release dates are as yet unconfirmed.

The platform is rumored to be getting a third version of Pokemon Sun and Moon however, as well as a new 3D Mario and a port of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Nintendo first unveiled the Switch in October, before teasing that more details would be revealed soon. We may also discover the system's price tag and full specs, as well as a release date; so far, we only know that the Switch will launch in March 2017.
