Halo 4 fans, beware of fake beta signups

Microsoft have issued a warning that if you are to come across any websites offering access to a Halo 4 beta, they are counterfeit. David Ellis from 343 Industries has announced on his twitter that "If you see a a page claiming to allow you to sign up for a Halo 4 beta be advised, IT'S A FAKE!"

Whether or not a legitimate Halo 4 beta will be released is unknown. However the likelihood of a beta is pretty strong considering Halo's past: Crackdown purchasers were given access to Halo 3's beta and those who bought a copy of Halo: ODST were granted permission to join the masses on the Halo: Reach beta.

Halo 4 is due later this year, so expect to hear some concrete information in the coming months. But in the meantime, stay away from phishing and scamming websites, they are fake.
