Microsoft has been making some radical changes to how they treat PC gamers. They recently announced Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and Killer Instinct, two titles that were assumed to be Xbox One exclusive, are coming to PC. One franchise that PC gamers have been missing out on for the past couple of years is Halo. Due to the release of Halo: Online, a lot of gamers are skeptical of whether a real Halo title will ever come to PC again. Fortunately, it looks like PC gamers may be in for a treat this Holiday season.
A LinusTechTips forums user posted a transcript of a chat with a Microsoft sales rep. He started off by asking about Halo: Combat Evolved servers, but then asked about Halo 3 and 4. The representative responded, “We do not have a confirmed date on when they will be coming to PC, I would guess some time around this holiday season.”
Of course, the legitimacy of this transcript is very questionable. First off, it’s very strange that a sales rep would leak something as big as Halo on PC. The fact that they said “some time around this holiday season” is also a bit off. And of course, there is always the possibility that the user who posted the image used inspect element. I am, however, in the process of getting more proof from the user and will update this article with more information as I get it.
