As any Grand Theft Auto fanatic will know, a selection of GTA games have been developed and release on Android and iOS devices, with the most recent release being Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. However, the bar is about to be raised as Rockstar has just announced that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be making a star appearance on all iOS and Android-based devices.

In the past, devices simply haven't had to power to run such demanding games. But with the recent release of Apple's A7 and other powerful 64-bit chips, devices are becoming more than capable of running such games. The new faster iPad and iPhone, along with some new Android devices such as the Shield, Tegra Note 7 and Nexus 5, provide a plethora of devices for developers to work with.

"Before GTAV took us to the sun-bleached sidewalks and humming concrete freeways of present-day Los Santos and beyond, there was Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the biggest GTA of the PS2 era. Now, head back to the early 90s with CJ and the Grove Street Families when Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas comes to mobile devices next month."

GTA SA mobile is set to be released sometime in December and be available for iOS 7 and other select iOS/Android devices.
