The God of War series for PlayStation is one of the most beloved series of all time. For those unaware, it's also one of the many exclusive titles for the console. Hopefully, you guys haven't forgotten about good old Kratos, the main character of the series. SCEA announced on Friday that a "remastered" version of the game will be available on PS4 consoles as part of its 10th anniversary celebration for the God of War series. Fans of the game are being promised a 1080P, 60FPS remake of the game. God of War 3 Remastered will be available on July 14th, 2015.

Following the same path as many other remastered games, all of the previously released DLC will also be included with the game, free of charge. SCEA also mentioned that a "photo mode" will be included in the remastered game as well. The new mode is said to promise a "wealth of creative camera and lighting options, allowing them to freeze, edit, and share photos of all of Kratos' bloodthirsty exploits." We've come from taking selfies at the beach, to taking selfies will killing minions of hell. SCEA also mentioned that the remastered game will be lit by "thousands of dynamic lights" and "four times the texture resolution" than the last-gen version.

I'm quite sure a lot of the PlayStation 4 owners in the community are excited to hear about this remake coming to fruition. Being the Chains of Olmypus was the only God of War game I experienced, I don't entirely have any personal opinions towards whether this is a good decision or not. However, seeing the game among the lineup of beautiful creations on next-gen is something I'm more than excited about. How many of you guys and girls in the community will be playing when the game is released? Thanks to Zero for the topic submission.
