Confirming rumors, Ubisoft today officially announced that there will be a beta for the upcoming open-world shooter Ghost Recon: Wildlands. You can register for the beta right here on Ubisoft's website, though there is no word on how Ubisoft will select participants.

CEO Yves Guillemot said last month there there will be a Wildlands open beta as well, so it sounds like everyone will get to try the game ahead of launch if they want.

A new trailer for Wildlands has also been released; check it out in the embed above.

Wildlands is set in Bolivia. Set in the near future ("a few years from now" is the official word), the game seems players going behind enemy lines to take down a drug cartel. The game is playable solo or with up to three others in four-player co-op. Another major element of Wildlands is its openendedness. "Players will have a total freedom of choice to accomplish their missions how they want and watch as the world reacts to their actions," Ubisoft said.

The game is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on March 7, 2017.
