Ever wondered what it would be like to live the life of a professional gamer? well, game development and digital distribution company Valve are in the process of creating a full-length documentary about the life of the gamer, highlighting the risks of the industry and the lengths gamers will go to win and improve.

The upcoming documentary, called Free To Play, follows three professional gamers from around the world as they compete for a million dollar prize in the first Dota 2 International Tournament, the players are Ukrainian Danil "Dendi" Ishutin, Singaporean Benedict "HyHy" Lim and North American Clinton "Fear" Loomis.

If you aren't aware of the game, Dota 2 is a multiplayer online battle arena video game and the stand-alone sequel to the Defense of the Ancients, the game was developed by Valve and was released as a free-to-play title for Microsoft Windows. According to Valve, over seven million people play Dota 2 each month with daily peaks of over 600,000 concurrent players.

Free to Play will make its worldwide debut on March 19, Valve has announced. Those who live in or around San Fransisco can also buy a ticket for the premiere which will be shown at the Castro Theater, for more information on tickets, click here.

I highly recommend you watch the trailer for the documentary, it's a great insight to the lives of those who play games for money and I'm aware that many of se7ensins users have similar hobbies, please enjoy.
