Not much news has surfaced about Fallout 4, but a few aspects have been confirmed recently. We all know Bethesda and their work with the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series'. Fallout 4 will be using a newer and sleeker version of the famous Creation Engine; which we see being used in The Elder Scrolls V, or as most of you know it: Skyrim.
Bethesda said that because of the old hardware that the Xbox 360 and PS3 are using, The Creation Engine is limited a substantial amount and that the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series could of achieved a lot more if they were on more up-to-date hardware.
Bethesda said - "Skyrim, while an excellent game in its own right, in only a first iteration of a Creation game — and Bethesda was prevented from using it to its full potential by the limitations of eight-year-old console hardware in PS3 and Xbox 360".
Subsequently, the performance budget has been raised for the development of Fallout 4, due to the fact that it will be released on Next-Gen consoles! Fallout 4 will incorporate newer and sleeker skill-perk based features like in Skyrim, but it should be noted that it will be incorporated in its own trademark "Fallout/Pre-War era" and will be improved drastically from Skyrim's.
Development is going slow because of the other projects that are being worked on such as "The Elder Scrolls Online" and since Durango or as we know it the "Xbox 720" has no released specifications, Bethesda is only brainstorming at the moment, which is a sign of development. Slowly but surely, Fallout 4 will probably be arriving to our next-gen consoles between Spring 2014 and Summer 2014.
The guy who voices Three Dog in Fallout will probably also be making a return, he took to twitter and said the following:
So who is excited for the development of Fallout 4? I know I am, I'm a huge fan of the series and knowing Bethesda, they work fast and efficiently.
