Windows PC gamers will be able to try the Destiny 2 beta for four days starting Aug. 28, developer Bungie announced today.

Players who have pre-ordered Destiny 2 will get a day of early access. Bungie will open up the beta to all PC gamers on Aug. 29, and it will run until Aug. 31.

Pre-order customers should have received an early access code for the beta from their retailer. They’ll have to redeem the code on Bungie’s website in order to unlock access to the PC beta. Note that customers only get one beta download code for each pre-order, regardless of platform — if you already redeemed an early access code for the console beta, you’ll have to wait until the open beta on Aug. 29 to play it on PC.

The beta concluded earlier this week on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, after Bungie extended it for two days beyond the original July 23 end date. It was “the biggest Bungie beta ever,” the studio said. The PC version of the beta will likely offer the same content, and because the game itself will be available exclusively through Blizzard Entertainment’s Battle.net, the beta will probably require it as well. We’ve reached out to the studio for confirmation, and we’ll update this article with any information we receive.

Bungie also provided PC hardware specifications for the Destiny 2 beta, although the studio noted that they could change before the PC version launches. Here are the details:

Bungie has shown Destiny 2 at multiple events over the past few months, using computers that could run the game in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. (The PC version will support frame rates of up to 144 fps.) Those beefy rigs each featured a Core i7-7700K processor and a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti video card, in case you’ve got a wad of cash burning a hole in your pocket.

Destiny 2 will launch Sept. 6 on PS4 and Xbox One. The PC version will arrive Oct. 24. For more on the beta, read our in-depth impressions.
