Announced by Major Nelson only hours ago it seems Xbox are kicking off July’s Games with Gold promotion with the hit Arcade game Defense Grid: The Awakening.
Defense Grid: The Awakening will be available for free to Gold members from July 1st through to July 15th. It is definitely worth the download so grab it quick before time runs out!
Defense Grid: The Awakening is a tower defense game brought to us by Hidden Path Entertainment. The game would usually cost the Gold members 800 Microsoft Points. Here is a game trailer for those of you who are interested.
Games with Gold is a new promotion recently announced at E3 where Microsoft will reward their Xbox Live Gold subscribers with two free games each month, last month we saw Fable III being our first free game.
Personally I think Games with Gold is a great way to give back to their loyal fans and gamers, on the other hand Sony have been doing this for a while with their PS+ scheme.
